Protect Yourself!
Many small business owners believe that they do not need to worry much about computer
and online security. “After all,” they reason, “who would
want to target my business when there are so many bigger targets out there?”
While it’s true that small businesses are not directly attacked as often
as larger organizations, there are three reasons why small businesses should be
concerned:
- Small businesses often end up affected by larger attacks, such as mass worm outbreaks
or efforts to harvest credit card numbers.
- Security is becoming tighter than ever at larger companies, so small business networks
look increasingly tempting to attackers.
- Not all security threats come from outside your organization.
Regardless of how or why your business is attacked, recovery usually takes significant
time and effort. Imagine if your computer systems were unavailable for a week. Imagine
if you lost all the data stored on all the computers in your company. Imagine if
your biggest competitor was able to obtain a list of your customers along with sales
figures and sales notes. How long would it take before you noticed? What would these
breaches cost your company? Could you afford these losses? It seems like common
sense. You wouldn’t leave your building unlocked at night. The same is true
with information security, and a few simple steps can make you a lot less vulnerable.
Luckily, securing your business is easier than you might think. Of course, there
is no way to guarantee 100 percent security. However, you can achieve a high level
of security and be prepared in case breaches happen. Properly weighing risks and
consequences against the cost of prevention is a good place to start.
At Midwest Technology Connection we are 100%
devoted to all of your security needs. MTC
employs the most advanced technologies in securing your enterprise from internal
and external attacks.
We offer:
- Complete Vulnerability Scanning
- Infrastructure Security Implementation and Testing
- Highly Accredited Security Audits
- Ethical Hacking
So give us a call today and let us help you move towards a safer business environment.

Take matters in your hands and let us handle it!
What you DO KNOW:
Common printer problems such as paper jams, out of paper or toner/ink running low.
What you DON'T KNOW:
Your cost to fix these problems? How many printers in your company regularly fail
or run out of ink or toner? How is this affecting user productivity and satisfaction?
How much paper is being consumed? The cost of color printing?
Does this sound familiar?
You might have too many printing devices, maybe even from multiple vendors, which
are often underutilized and many of these devices are old and expensive to run due
to maintenance and supply costs.
Did you know that document distribution and output is one of the last unaudited
expenses in an organization today? Yet its expense is 1 to 3% of an organization’s
total revenue? What if you could reduce your document costs by up to 30%, while
also increasing your document productivity?
With the ever-present focus on cost savings, many small to mid sized organizations
have a tight budget and are under pressure to optimize their IT infrastructure to
reduce cost.
There is no question that there are real cost savings to be achieved from better
managing print.
Let MTC guide your organization on the way
to POTENTIAL COST SAVINGS and PRODUCTIVITY GAINS associated with managing
your print environment. Any IT investment should ultimately add value to your company—investing
in a more efficient and productive print environment is undoubtedly a SMART STEP
in the right direction. Let us evaluate your print environment and make you an offer
you won't be able to resist!

Program today and let us find the right solution for your business needs!

Find out how much more your phone could be doing
If you use the telephone just for talking, then your business is not taking advantage
of one of the most important new tools for productivity and customer satisfaction.
IP Phone Applications
"The important dividing line will be between those who see VoIP as just a new
way to do the same old things and those who use it to rethink their entire business."
- That's what the prestigious Harvard Business Review said recently. And they
were right.
Because now, IP Telephony not only helps you do the old things faster, easier and
more cost efficiently, but it also allows you to do business in a whole new way:
- Your employees can be more productive-
Access web-based applications, quickly look up information, utilize click-to-call
components, send and receive text messages and much more - all from the screen of
the IP telephone.
- Your customers can get better service and their questions can be answered faster-
Leverage presence capabilities and find-me messaging, your staff will have access
to better information and to individual specialists throughout your business who
can be most responsive to individual customer needs.
- Your business can be more competitive because you can reduce latency by embedding
communications right into your business processes-
For example, Intelligent Communications enables automated customer notification
when an order or service is complete. Or it can help you automate real-time communications
during sudden market condition changes or emergencies.
So it's not just about cost. Now IP Telephony is about increasing value and effectiveness.
MTC and our new Business Partner Avaya, the
world leader in IP Telephony, can help you rethink your business. We can provide
avenues to make it more productive and more profitable in ways that were never before
possible.
